Dr. Yan Wei received her Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida in 2015. Before joining HKU, she was an Associate Teaching Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Energy Engineering at Southern University of Science and Technology (SUSTech). With 13 years of teaching experience at both domestic and international institutions, Dr. Wei has led several teaching innovation projects. She received SUSTech's Outstanding Teaching Award in 2021, and her course, "CAD and Engineering Drawing," was recognized as a First-Class Undergraduate Course in Guangdong Province. She also earned the Second Prize in SUSTech's Teaching Achievement Award and contributed as a core member to a project that won First Prize in the Guangdong Provincial Teaching Achievement Award.
