Dr. Yu is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. He obtained his B.Eng. degree in Mineral Engineering from Wuhan Institute of Technology, M.Sc. degree in Metallurgical Engineering from Fuzhou University, and Ph.D. degree in Materials Science and Engineering from The University of Hong Kong (HKU) in 2022. After completing his Ph.D., he continued his research as a Postdoctoral Fellow at HKU and was promoted to Research Assistant Professor in 2024.
Dr. Yu’s current research focuses on: (1) multi-principal element passivation in alloys; and (2) potential-resistant structural materials for energy devices.
