Industrial Training & Professional Development

In the summer of their third year, students have the opportunity to enhance their skills through hands-on industrial training or specialized professional courses—both designed to bridge the gap between academic learning and real-world engineering practice.

Industrial Training Program

Students gain practical engineering experience through internships with leading companies in fields such as:

  • Mechanical Engineering

  • Building Services Engineering

  • Advanced Manufacturing

These internships, typically lasting 6 to 8 weeks (depending on employer requirements), allow students to:
✔ Apply classroom knowledge to real industry challenges
✔ Develop technical and problem-solving skills in a professional setting
✔ Gain insights into business operations and workplace dynamics

Alternatively, students can opt to take highly specialized courses offered by renowned academic institutions in Mainland China, where they can improve their professional and language skills at the same time. The Tsinghua University is one of those institutions which organize such programs.
