A well-equipped Materials Laboratory houses material preparation and characterisation equipment including an induction melter, a thin-film sputtering system, nanoindentation equipment, atomic force microscope, X-ray diffraction machines, a differential scanning calorimeter, dynamic mechanical thermal analyzer and other standard, testing equipment. State-of-the-art AFM, SEM and STEM for materials research are also available.
