Professor Li Lain-Jong and Professor Xiaobo Yin received funding support from The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust (The Trust) to set up JC STEM Lab for research projects.
Working with the Government, non-governmental organisations (NGOs) and community partners, the Trust is committed to improving the quality of life of the people of Hong Kong. The Trust also proactively identifies and initiates projects that anticipate future community and social needs.

Description: The JC STEM Lab of Advanced 3D Integrated Circuit Technology will provide local researchers an excellent platform to study the critically important M3D integration technologies. The research involves new dielectrics materials, engineering of novel metal surfaces for wafer bonding, low temperature and low stress welding of wafers, and control of bonding precision accuracy.

Description: The general research area is at the interfaces Energy and Sustainability, Materials Sciences and Mechanical Engineering, and the Design, Synthesis, and Scalable Manufacturing of Functional Micro-/Nano-structures.
