Abstract:

Heat pumps can efficiently convert electricity and low temperature heat into high temperature heat, and research has shown that comprehensive application can achieve a 15-22% reduction in carbon emissions for the entire society. Due to its characteristic of "pumping heat", heat pumps can conveniently improve the thermal energy grade, greatly reducing the dependence on the phase change temperature of thermal storage materials, and thus finding suitable low-cost, high safety, and high-density optimal thermal storage configuration schemes. "Heat pump and heat storage" can not only achieve incremental heat storage of electrical energy, but also improve the quality of heat storage for on-demand heating. China has a world leading heat pump industry, and the heat storage industry has also begun to rise. The combination of the two can play an important supporting role in the reconstruction of carbon neutral energy.
