Dr. Shixun Wang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Energy Storage Group led by Prof. Chunyi Zhi at The University of Hong Kong. He completed his Postdoctoral Fellowship (2023-2025) and Ph.D. (2019-2023, supervised by Prof. Andrey L. Rogach) at City University of Hong Kong. Before his doctoral studies, he worked as a Research Assistant at Jilin University and University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB). He earned his M.S. from USTB (2014-2017) under the supervision of Prof. Jianjun Tian and Prof. Guozhong Cao (University of Washington, Seattle), following his B.Eng. in Metallurgical Engineering from the same university in 2014. Dr. Wang has published over 60 peer-reviewed papers, which have attracted approximately 3,700 citations (H-index 30). He also serves as a regular reviewer for leading journals such as Advanced Materials, Progress in Materials Science, Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and The Innovation.
